CAPiTA’s Indoor Survival is one of our most versatile and beloved boards. Its iconic name evokes emotions tied to historic sessions of our past, but this technically packed directional twin is built for the future.
It’s a powerful yet flexible board that slays the piste, park and backcountry on the same level. The proven P2 Superlight Core shaves weight from traditional wood cores, and the Titanal Centerline Booster yields incredible response underfoot.
The ability of people to adapt to the impacts of climate change and extreme heat is a complex issue. The coping strategies and risk perceptions of urban residents are likely to differ at different scales. These differences are poorly represented in modern vulnerability analyses that rely on aggregate-scale data drawn from censuses, surveys, and administrative records.
Using qualitative analysis of in-depth interviews, this article explores how city residents understand and adapt to increasing extreme urban heat. The tradeoffs that different populations must make between generic and specific adaptive capacity are investigated, as well as the coping strategies that influence heat adaptive capacity at various scales.
The narratives of three groups of residents were compared: “heat is an inconvenience,” “heat is a manageable problem,” and “heat is a catastrophe.” These stories are used to frame how different residents see their own vulnerability to extreme urban heat and access the range of solutions available. In addition, the varying narratives may help to evaluate if standard recommendations for coping with urban heat adequately represent the lived experiences of vulnerable groups.
A super-lightweight camber profile and a Quantum Drive base help the Indoor Survival claim the oh-so-fashionable title of one of the best bang for your buck snowboards for in-resort use. Pop, press, and carve to your hearts content in the park, pipe, or groomers with confidence.
It’s not often that a board is capable of doing all those things without breaking the bank. This is the first one I’ve ever tested that weighed in at just over 2 pounds, and it was a serious contender for the best bang for your buck. The top of the line CAPiTA P2 Superlight Core(tm) with Titanal Centerline Booster makes this board a cinch to ride, and it’s paired with the best component quality you can get in this price range. It’s the best board I’ve ever used, and it’s worth every penny.
The Capita Indoor Survival 2022 is one of the most versatile, well rounded boards in Capita’s lineup. It is engineered with a super-fast Quantum Drive base and the P2 Superlight Core for added power and stability. This board is perfect for those sampling the resort and looking for a well rounded, high quality snowboard for their everyday riding needs.
